Chico Chai Brand Ambassador Wanted (SF Bay Area)

POSITION:
Chico Chai SF Bay Area Brand Ambassador

PAY:
$200 initial bonus per new account + 10% six month sales commission
(position status: independent contractor)

DUTIES:
Reaching out to potential wholesale accounts, scheduling meetings, describing our product to buyers, conducting tastings for buyers, obtaining new accounts and generally representing our brand in a professional and informed way. Checking with HQ in via phone once a week.

Chico Chai Cookies!

We started making these cookies about five years ago, giving them away with a cup of chai at our farmers’ market booth, and they’ve proven to be incredibly popular. It’s an easy holiday recipe that pairs perfectly with a cup of fresh chai. Enjoy!

1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
2 ½ cups flour
2 tsp loose leaf Original Chico Chai

Cream butter and sugar. Grind chai in a coffee grinder or blender and stir into mixture. Then sift in flour and stir.Roll dough between sheets of wax paper, to about ¼ inch thickness, then cut out into shapes. Bake on cookie sheets at 350 for 8-12 mins

Chai-Spiced Cranberry Sauce

Chai-spiced cranberry sauce

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

32 oz ( 2 pounds) fresh whole cranberries
2 cups organic sugar , plus or minus a 1/2 cup for desired amount of tartness
2 cups Chico Chai strong brew or Chico Chai brewed from loose leaf tins
1/2 cup water
1 local  orange, zest and juice

Optional additions 1/4 cup rasberries or blueberries, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or fresh ground nutmeg

Put all liquids and sugar  in a large pot and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Carefully pour rinsed cranberries and orange zest into pot and continue simmering for 15 to 20 minutes until most of the berries burst. Turn off heat and let rest for 30 minutes and then store in glass containers or jars overnight in refrigerator. Let the Cranberry Sauce return to room temprature for serving and enjoy. Makes 12 servings, extra can be frozen or put on leftover turkey sandwiches.

DIY Chai Workshop!

Thursday, Dec 10th, 6-8pm $35

Come learn how to make your own chai blend! The evening will start with basic background information on tea, spices and chai. We’ll let you know our favorite ways to blend loose leaf chai and some tips on brewing. Then you’ll get your hands into some spices and create your own (two) blends of loose leaf chai. We provide the spices, tea, tins for your blends, and advice along the way.

You’ll get to take home your chai and keep it for yourself or give to a loved one for the holidays!

The workshop will be taught by Sarah Adams, Brewmistress and owner of Chico Chai.

Our Pumpkin Pie Chai is our seasonal special this month at the Saturday Farmers’ Market. But what if it’s Monday? Or Wednesday??! Never fear, you can make it at home!
This cute little video outlines how to make a cup of it from our (caffeine-free) Red Chai.

Enjoy!

(For a quicker method, just heat:
6 oz milk + 6 oz Chico Chai Strong Brew
Then whisk in 2 Tablespoons pumpkin puree and 1/2 tsp molasses.
Top with whipped cream & your favorite spice)
