Pumpkin Chai Oatmeal

Here’s something we came up with this morning at breakfast. We were craving something appropriate for the brisk weather, comforting, filling, spicy and warm. Here’s what happened:

Pumpkin Chai Oatmeal

1 1/2 tsp finely ground Original Loose Leaf Chico Chai
(grind in a coffee grinder)
2 cups water
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 T pumpkin puree
2 T half & half
1 T maple syrup

Boil water in a pot, add pumpkin, chai and oatmeal. Turn down heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add maple syrup and half and half and stir in. Makes one delicious serving.
